Lumen on Lagoon

LUMEN ON LAGOON 1209 Lagoon at Emerson Lumen plays heavily on its Uptown location, and rightly so. As a New Urbanism development, the ground floor is set aside for commerce, currently featuring a Yoga Studio, a traditional Chinese health center, and a women's boutique. In terms of everyday convenience, Lumen is located between Lund's and Rainbow, with first-run movies a block away, and the excellent Hennepin bus lines a block further. Of course, owners of these higher-end units are necessarily affluent, so the underground parking and efficient street patterns to points throughout the Metro no doubt count for more. Lumen's exterior brick alludes to Uptown's prewar apartments, though this is a thoroughly contemporary design, inside and out. The living units are spacious and drenched in natural light, decked out in granite, hardwoods, and stainless steel, as one would expect.
