This industrial conversion offers "true loft living," not just in the industrial-chic character of its living units, but as a mixed use building, with an orientation to working artists, and commercial condominiums on the lower four floors. Playing on the creative atmosphere, the developer emphasizes craftsmanship of construction, heavy on custom features. The living spaces are open-plan, lighted by the large industrial-sash window openings. Poured concrete floors and ceilings are exposed, along with pipes, conduit, and ducts. By Midwestern standards, this is Real Man industrial, about as close as one will find in Minneapolis to the artists' lofts in Manhattan's meatpacking district. Though units and setting here are still far more comfortable environments than one would encounter in its New York City counterparts.
