THE W CONDOMINIUMS 2500 Blaisdell Avenue For those of a certain age, the 2½-story walkup apartment is recognizable as a classic housing type of the late 1950s and 1960s. Many of these were built in the Whittier neighborhood, where inexpensive, up-to-date housing was in demand by young adults, either those working Downtown or studying at the College of Art & Design.
