Fridley

Fridley Real Estate

Located just north of Minneapolis, Fridley is a hub of economic activity, with a variety of major businesses – Medtronic and Cummins among them – employing thousands of people. The city dates back to 1847, when the first settler built a tavern, and a tornado that destroyed one-quarter of the city’s homes in 1965 also is an important part of the city’s history. Major interstates including 94 and 694 run through or just outside the city, which has a population of more than 27,000 people. Natural areas are important parts of Fridley, and the Mississippi National River and Recreation Area makes up the city’s western border. The 127-acre Springbrook Nature Center on the city’s north side features hiking trails and has been named by the Star Tribune as a must-see spot in the Twin Cities.
