Lakeville Real Estate

The city of Golden Valley is said to have been named for the glimmering fields of wheat that extended as far as the eye could see. And while those fields have given way to roads and residential areas, Golden Valley remains a beautiful city where residents enjoy easy access to the rest of the Twin Cities, a 759-acre park (Theodore Wirth) that’s unmatched in the metro area, and a thriving local economy that continues to spur on new development. Highway 169 and Interstate 394 make up parts of Golden Valley’s border, and highways 55 and 100 run through the city, making it perhaps the most accessible suburb around. Over the years, highly walkable retail developments have sprung up in the city, most notably around Highway 100 and Duluth Street, and Highway 55 and Winnetka Avenue. The city also includes copious amounts of green space, golf courses (including Brookview Golf Course) and water.
