Wacouta Commons

It’s not everyday that new neighborhoods come to be, but that’s essentially what’s occurred with the Wacouta Commons, a six-block area that just a couple of decades ago was known as the Northeast Quadrant and was little more than surface parking lots and obsolete warehouses from the 20th century. The area features a wide variety of apartment, condo, loft and townhome options, all built around a park where dogs can run, children can play and people can enjoy the green space in an otherwise urban area. While the buildings in Wacouta Commons hint at what the neighborhood looked like in the past, they’re nonetheless architecturally interesting and pleasing. There are a variety of retail options in Wacouta Commons, and residents also have easy access to Lowertown and Downtown St. Paul.
