Twin Cities Attractions

  • Mall of America (MOA) - The Mall of America achieves status as a local attraction because it is the largest shopping mall in the US and the main tourist destination in the Midwest.  MOA has 7.2 million square feet of space and over 520 stores.  MOA also houses other major attractions such as the world's largest underwater aquarium, an indoor amusement park, a movie theater, and several unique features including NASCAR and flight simulator experience stores.
  • Underwater Adventures Aquarium - Located inside the Mall of America, this is the world's largest underground aquarium and contains over 4,500 sea creatures.  You can take a submarine tour and view the award-winning shark encounter from the 300-foot long underground glass tunnel.
  • Nickleodeon Universe at MOA - In the tradition of being large, this amusement park is the largest indoor park of its kind in the US.  You'll find roller coasters, rides, and fun for the whole family to enjoy.
  • Como Park Zoo & Observatory - The Marjorie McNeely Conservatory houses the largest glass-domed garden in the area.  The zoo is a family friendly event with many art sculptures and animal performance shows, and many live animals including large cats, primates, birds, wolves, sea lions, and creatures at the tropical encounters exhibits.
  • Minnesota Zoo - Enjoy the spectacular dolphin show or be amazed by the shark feeding.  See wolves, moose, camels, tigers, monkeys, and more.  Kids and adults will enjoy the Family Farm attraction where children get up close with farm animals and learn about farming and agriculture.  Visitors can also touch sharks, sea stars, and sea anemones in an interactive estuary and tide pool.
  • Water Park of America - Adjacent to the Mall of America - and in the spirit of all things large - this hotel and water park is America's Biggest Indoor Water Park Hotel. Fun awaits you on Minnesota's only Flow Rider Surf Simulator, the Lake Superior wave pool, and America's longest indoor family raft ride at ten stories tall and over a mile long.
